No part is damaged. Wine is good for the body. Humans have been drinking it since before recorded history.

If you drink too much, it will hurt your liver, but also your brain. Alcohol causes siroses of the liver, and also kills brain cells. You could also get alcohol poisoning from it I would say, although I have never heard of anyone getting alcohol poisoning from wine.
