If the problem with wellfare is abuse why dont we drug test?

fizardwizard asked:

I carry a job which makes me a productive member of society and they drug test me. Wouldnt that be a step in the right direction. It’s a circle I get a job get drug tested then give my money to people using drugs. I think half the people on wellfare would go and get a job if they got drug tested.

Do you think people who apply for welfare should be required to take a drug and urine test?

Unshaken Faith asked:

I do. Why should they be sitting at home abusing drugs and collecting a welfare check at the same time? That’s our tax money.
Not everybody on welfare is on drugs, but alot of them I’m sure are. What is your oppinnion?
Kao- You are obviously not from the U.S. or you wouldn’t be referring to it as “your country”
It’s true, I don’t agree with every decision that our government makes, but I’d rather live in the U.S. than any country in the world.

Can someone proof read this essay.its supposed to be a persuassive essay. let me no if there are errors thanx.

valerie asked:

“Why Young Teens and Kids Shouldn’t be Allowed to Buy CD’s”

“Music is a powerful mode of expression, – Children’s healthcare services. Many kids listen to music or watch music videos as way to relax. When kids buy a CD they listen to it a lot, and it sticks with them. A lot of the songs have violence, bad language, sexual abuse, weapons, rebellion, drinking, suicide, drugs, and just sexual promiscuity itself. The average teen watches to two hours of music videos daily, and listens to more than 10,000 hours of music a month. That is more than an average student spends in school. The younger audience should be under parental supervision, so parents can control what is appropriate for their child. Also, CDs should have warnings of what is on the CD.
Most kids buy their CDs; because they hear it on the radio then if they like it they go out and buy it. On the radio they play the edited version of the song, but when the CD is bought it’s different from the version heard. Music changes people’s attitudes especially the adolescent audience.
Not all songs have bad content in them. But many of the lyrics to them do, such as: 1) “Suicide is the only way out don’t you know what it’s really about?”- Suicide Solution by Ozzy Osbourne. 2) I want action tonight, if I can’t have her, I’ll take her and make her” – I Want Action,” Poison’s. 3) “I’m never dustin’ out (angel dust), ‘cause I trust that crack (a deadly form of cocaine)” – “Hold It Now, Hit It,” the Beastie Boys. Kids and teens sometimes don’t take the time hear what they are listening too, and comprehend what the song is saying. They listen to songs for the artist and genre.
Artists make videos, while some are entertaining others can be bad. Up to 75 percent of them contain sexually suggestive material. More than half contain violence, especially against women. Many of these videos are seen on cable and the internet. But people don’t realize it; they think the videos are cool, because the song is cool.
Numerous kids and teens suffer from depression and use music as their solution. They are isolated from others to they turn to their music. Depression is something that kids suffer from. Inappropriate music causes people’s attitudes and outlooks change on life. When something goes wrong in their life they feel bad, and follow what their music says because they see that the singers have a good life. Younger people use drugs and alcohol to try and solve their problems, and most of that is encouraged in music. “When we look at the research it indicates that kids who listen to a lot of music, who watch a lot of music videos, actually are at an increased risk for violent behavior, for substance abuse, for risky sexual behavior,” said Dr. Michael Rich, director of the Center on Media and Child Health at Children’s Hospital in Boston.
Some kids and teens may argue that they don’t act out from the music, and that their old enough to buy what they want. They are wrong, because teens aren’t as old as adults. Teens haven’t been through as much as an adult. Adults should know already what is right from wrong. They know what the right thing to do is and what a bad thing to do is. They have had more experiences and life lessons. Teens and kids are still going through adolescence, and still don’t know right from wrong.
Some parents may say that they trust their kids enough to listen to what they want and buy what they want. Parents won’t let their kids watch bad content movies, but yet they let them hear bad content music. Letting kids listen and buy what they want is fine, but adults should listen to it and determine whether it’s suitable for the younger audience. Adults may trust kids and teens, but do they really know what is going on and what their child is listening to. They should warn their kids, because the music that’s out there not is not what it seems to be anymore. Music may not always be good.
Furthermore, the younger audience should be allowed to buy CDs with an adult present until they reach a certain age. Also CDs should have advisory cautions that are clearly labeled. Parents should control more to what their kids are listening to, and then they can help stop violence, drug use, and alcohol use from happening. If they stop them from buying unsuitable music then maybe it will help stop bigger worse things from happening. Kids are the future, and the world doesn’t need a bad one.

I love my wife, I hurt my wife, I need my wife, I miss my wife, when does the this all go away?

antinioa asked:

Hello, one year ago I married the prettiest lady in the county. I met her at a local church. At that time I was in a drug and alcohol treatment center. After my wife found out that I was in treatment she accepted me with open arms. She stated to me that my recovery is her recovery as well. going into the relationship I bagan to use again. My wife found out and thats when things started getting bad in our relationship. My wife supported me through this ordeal of relapsing, and she even started going to meetings with me. I did not show any appreciation for her standing behind me. I began to become verbally abusive to her and her kids. I had the ambition to start a lawn business and she supported me with that. She financed me two trucks in which I still drive, She open up credit cards in which I abused. she also emptied her retirement because of me. On one day four months ago, I came home intoxicated, and high, I hit my wife that night and went to jail. she took out a temporary restraing order out on me. that night was my bottom and I admitted myself back into rehab. Even after taking out the restraining order she still allowed me to come over to spend time with the kids.I took advantage of that and became more selfish and controlling. I would call her a hundred times a day, texting her constantly, never taking no for an answer. She finally told me that she needs her space and time to heal. I did not understand that, realizing that I am currently in recovery and I need time to heal myself. My wife is very pretty, smart, intelligent, loving, and most of all she is a true christian lady. she has a 15 year old daughter and son that is going to be 10 in about a week. I love those kids like they were mine. I would express to them the importance of their education, I talked to them about life issues like a real father would. I spent alot of quality time with them, taking them out on fridays and doing the things they desired to do. I love those kids and I miss them. My wife has been out of a job for almost 31/2 months, the only income she is receiving is unemployment. I have been helping her as much as I can, but I lost my job, now I can’nt help her like I was. We both go to the same church, but she told the officials that she has a temporary restraining order and that we should be attendig different services. now she has totally shut me out of her life. she don’nt answer my calls, she don’nt call me, she may e-mail me if it something importat or she is mad. She is very bitter towards me and I have become afraid of her. she still allows me to drive the two vehicles thats in her name and I still have a few of my things in the house. Today, I am doing good in recovery, I am deeply involved in the church, and I am growing in the word of god every day. I am doing it for me now. These are the questions I need help with, she is not telling me anything like she wants a divorce or what our future will be like, when wiill she talk to me again,? I am giving her space and time to heal, when do I know when to contact her? I Got a part time job this week, do I tell her? What do I do now? I have acknowledge my wrongs and I take full responsibility for what I did. I love her and she is the lady I want to be with for the rest of my life. No one knows how I feel besides God. I truly love her. I just want us to live a joyous and happy spirutual life now. And I want to rebuild what I tore down of hers. She is currently atending co-dependency classes and various other groups. When do i ask her will she attend marriage counseling with me after I finish with my individual counseling? At what point do I give up and file for divorce? Or do I just hang in there? Please help me, i need and want my family back.

PORN. what do you think of porn being despicable after reading this?

sexi Z asked:

1)A lot of porn is RAPE.
Most of these women are FORCED to commit the most humiliating sexual acts for money which is RAPE.
It may not be kidnapped on the street and raped there….but it is rape especially psychologically.

Women are kept as sex slaves and live in cramped rooms where they are abused and forced to ‘act’.
These men purchase make up etc for them so they appear ‘normal looking’ and ‘willing’. They are used, exploited in the most heart wrenching manner and then passed on to another set of ‘filmers’….the rings of men who collaborate.
They cannot escape, their lives are threatened.

Human trafficking is REAL and a MAJOR source of getting these women, especially in Columbia.

Asian, Korean and Russian women (slavs) are often raped initially and then threatened to have the videos shown to their families who will disown them if they don’t agree to ‘act’.
Poor families in this part of the world often send or sell their daughters off to these ‘rings’ of men who pay them very very little and abuse them to make them act as though they are willing to engage in these sexual acts. They are sex slaves.

2)Not all of porn is rape.

They are ‘porn stars’ both male and female who make good money and may even enjoy it. But it is the subjugation of women that facilitates porn. These women are portrayed as OBJECTS to be exploited.
They are depicted as pieces of meat to be abused in any form whatsoever. This in turn affects the mindsets of people and is detrimental to wider society…men especially walk around with the perception that women WANT to be treated this way and this is normal.

One’s attitude towards sex changes due to porn…and not in a positive way but in the most destructive manner.

3)Sexual pleasure of any kind and ANY form besides that between a man and woman in a relationship is considered cheating.
At least for people who share high standards and expect to be treated properly.
It is downright desire and very disrespectful to one’s partner and has ruined many many marriages.
People are depicted in porn as sexual animals and viewers walk around consciously or subconsciously seeing people in their daily lives that way. It is a distortion, a disease.
Porn viewers are often people who feel as though they are all alone in the entire world. They are guilt ridden; yet may not recognize it or turn a blind perverted eye.

4)It is the market for porn, the online viewing etc which CAUSES this abuse and all viewers are responsible. Not just for the abuse of these particular women in porn but for the oppression of women in general as it is porn which facilitates wider perceptions.

Women are abused from all different cultures as the porn industry has stereotyped….black women seen as vulgar, indi and asian women submissive etc. This is despicable.

5)There is no gender equality in porn.
For this who wish to justify their viewing by claiming it is not abuse of women as they are both men and women in porn the fact of the matter is that there are no ‘rings’ of women who capture men and FORCE them to ‘act’.
With regards to porn stars that is not rape; women are still SEEN as the oppressed and exploited OBJECTS and this is what fuels the abuse in wider society (even though these porn stars are willing). With regards to unfaithfulness in a relationship (point 3) it applies to both genders.

6)There are sickasses amongst us who are aware of all of this or who choose to live in denial.
They take pleasure in watching women being sexually tortured …or trivialized in the cases of consenting porn stars.
These are the perverts and sickasses that CAUSE abuse to continue.

7)Mary Anne Layden, co-director of the Sexual Trauma and Psychopathology Program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Cognitive Therapy, ‘internet is a perfect drug delivery system because you are anonymous, aroused and have role models for these behaviors’. Pornography addicts have a more difficult time recovering from their addiction than cocaine addicts, since coke users can get the drug out of their system, but pornographic images stay in the brain forever. Anybody that doesn’t think that pornography is addictive hasn’t tried to stop looking at it.

8)Watching porn is not the norm.

Contrary to popular belief it corrupts your mind and leaves images in your mind of sexual activity that is just sex , NOT LOVE .

It creates a false illusion of what a relationship is, it creates a false illusion of what women REALLY want, and it ultimately creates a false security for people who lack in confidence to actually go out into the real world and meet a real person and actually get to know one another.

To sit and watch porn is to sit in isolation , have images burned into your brain of fake people with fake body parts , fake tans , fake personalities , and separate yourself from the real world .

9)THIS IS A CONFESSION FROM A VIEWER. ‘I like porn because; I not so secr
Men look at porn because they have low morals and no respect for women. Everyone knows that porn is filthy and degrading to women, which is why most *decent* women don’t like it. It has nothing to do with the woman’s unwillingness to try new things in the bedroom .

26)Couples who think pornography will “spice up” their sex life or enhance their marital relationship are being bamboozled by the porn industry. Studies prove that regular viewing of pornography is destructive to marital relationships and leads to one or both partners becoming dissatisfied with their current sexual relationship
27)
A woman’s objection to the use of pornography has nothing to do with low self-esteem or insecurity issues. In fact, it suggests just the opposite: a woman with a high level of self-respect is more likely to object to porn use than a women with low self-esteem or low moral character

28) “Pornography is destructive not only because it is insulting to one’s wife, but because it takes one’s
