Well, there’s a difference between “erotic” and “pornographic”. Rated R movies can show both sexes completely naked, but they don’t show any “actual” penetration. In fact, even the steamiest rated “R” sex scenes are shot so that there is no actual penetration.
Pornos, on the other hand, DO show actual penetration, and the actors are actually having sex.
