Can wearing lip-gloss over a period of years, dry out the natural oils (or oil-making abilities) of your lip.
(Im 21 and started wear lip-gloss in high school. Now if I dont have it on, my lips feel soo dry.)

i dont think so depends what kind it was, now lip gloss usually has beeswax or aloe or vitmain E in it.
If you want a really good lip gloss go for the Sweet Talk ones at Victorias Secret.
Be sure to use some light chap-stick under.
But that lip gloss is wonderful.
It works long and good.

nah, there are no ‘side effects’ .. you perhaps MIGHT be (but I doubt it.. few are, hon) allergic to some of those things in ’em.. if ya can (I gotta ‘squint’) read the ingredients in some of ’em it’s pretty scary! You won’t die from lip gloss (it’s the crap in the air… ozone layer, pollutants that’ll get ya first, gf!) later
Lip gloss can not alter the chemical composition of your lips. You are simply used to wearing it. It’s a habit. (there are worse habits in life!)
Just make sure there is no ingredient in your lip gloss like alcohol. Some of them have that. I’ve been using lipstick for 30 years and my lips are very supple! : )
I BELIEVE IT DOES, JUST AS WELL IF U WEAR MAKEUP ALL THAT TIME . YOU LOOSE YOUR NATURAL PIGMENTATION ON YOUR SKIN. SO YEAH YOU WOULD LOOSE THE NATURAL OILS OF YOUR LIPS, BUT HEY SWITCH TO CAHP STICK AND LITTLE BY LITTLE DITCH THE LIP GLOSS

Lip gloss has moisturizers in it and will keep your lips from getting chapped. It’s not that there are side effects it just that your lips are accustomed to getting moisturized, use a lip balm, chap stick or cocoa butter.
Overall your lips need to be moisturized and if you not substitute that then they will get dry. Some ppl have dry skin and most likely this can affect your lips also.
