Define “Prolonged Drug Use”.?
Question by Heather: Define “Prolonged Drug Use”.?
So I’m reading about how long evidence of drug use stays in your system, and they give 2 statistics, one for “light use” of whatever drug they’re talking about, and one for “prolonged use”.
Does “prolonged” refer to how long one has been taking whatever drug, or how often they do it? I think of the word prolonged as meaning the length of time, but couldn’t you be a prolonged LIGHT drug user? It doesn’t seem to make much sense to me.

prolonged use is a mixture of how much in an amount of time. i.e., prolong exposure to alcohol is not defined as one person getting wasted one night, or by one person having a sip every day, but my getting wasted every night.
The actual amount is all dependent on the drug and the persons metabolism
