Pain Killer Addiction – Questions & Advice?
Question by Whatever: Pain Killer Addiction – Questions & Advice?
I am 21 years old. I was in a car accident 4 months ago and was prescribed 5mg Vicodin. I was to take 1-2 pills every 4-6 hours. I was only given 30 pills, no refill. Somehow I became addicted and now I’ve been taking 10mg hydrocodone and 10mg oxycodone from dealers on the streets since I ran out of my prescription. I take one pill when I wake up, half’s and quarter pills throughout the day until I go to bed. I am also prescribed .05mg Valium (I do not abuse them though) I am about 5’9″ and weigh about 125lbs.
Q: How would you “rate” my addiction?
Q: What is the safest/best way to quit?
Please add any other advice you would like to share.
Thanks, I really need to get my life back.
