“Fear Is Only in Our Minds, but Its Taking Over All the Time.” Thoughts?

Question by Mortus: “Fear is only in our minds, but its taking over all the time.” Thoughts?
Ha, well this is a little piece from one of my journals, thoughts, opinions, wisdom?

This quote is from an “Evanescense” song. I believe it has a great amount of truth, or honesty, and perhaps wisdom. I have thought about how many things I myself have let this happen in the past. I believe we as human beings, especially with perhaps, troubled pasts, or horrible experiances in the same subject, or object, allow ourselfs to give into that “apprehension” with a justification of “I’ll be strong enough next time” or, “I’ll do it next time.” Yet, when the time comes, I believe either by our own will, or by our subconcious will, we ah, if in such a “pattern” tend to “give in”. I believe this only makes it, I suppose that much harder the next time we do give in, as in our conviction, guilt, or shame, we tend to “punish” ourselves I suppose with each time one does give into the same “fear”. It is an unfortunate cycle, that I believe often intwines itself with “addiction”.

I believe addiction itself is something that people see as something they can use to “drown” their pains, or justify their actions to themselves, by the pleasure of feeling they get while involved, or “caught” in them. Also, I believe that addiction tends to take a heavier toll as it is used more frequently, depending on the person of course, because the “light” or “hope” in the world, and in their thoughts, may start to dwindle as it gets heavier, so they seek a “higher” level of satisfaction to these quarrels. In the case of drug use, perhaps ending in death, unfortunately.

Fear itself, seems to be something we don’t understand, or perhaps don’t desire to, for the pain we sometimes, I believe, predict certain actions that would potentially allow us to move forward, enduces. In the case it does happen, I believe we tend to misunderstand the pain, and we don’t recognize our own responsabilities, needed to move forward and grow from those pains.

So! Perhaps it would be best, for anyone who may have fears, or apprehension, nervousness, or addictions, to take that “risk”, to move forward, to allow ourselves to learn, and be tought, to place ourselves in the situations we may “fear”, or not understand, to stope those “self defeating patterns” that prevent us from growing, to live for tomorow’s satisfaction and not todays, to find ourselfs, and who we are, to prosper, to fail and then grow, to live. As well as many more reasons! It may be terribly hard at first, however, I am sure that after some time one could move forward, and rise out of the “darkness” they were in. I believe one can find “hope”, you just have to wait until you discover it, and occupy yourself in something that makes you happy outside the boundaries of fear, take those chances, and if you fail you can always simply apologize, and then learn from the mistake. Know that you deserve hope, deserve to take chances and make mistakes, deserve to live, and last, but not least, that your dreams, and goals are obtainable. “After all the evils were let out of “pandora’s box” one thing was left, hope.” Hope for everyone, and everything, it is there, one just needs to ponder and search for it to Illuminate their minds, as well as allow it time to flourish itself.
