i have a cerificate from my health class that allows me to get my license at the age of 16
my friends told me i have to take some kind of course

or do i just need my certificate and wait for my 12 months to be over and turn 16

You have to take a drivers ed course.
I know because I lived in Georgia when I was your age. I have a niece in GA your age and she has her permit but still needs to take drivers ed.

You must successfully complete driver’s education and take the certificate when you go get your license.

Prescription drug addiction has been cited as the new American drug problem, and with good reason. There are at least 6 million Americans addicted to prescription pills today, making them the second most abused drug in America behind only marijuana. Even more startling, there are more prescription drug abusers than there are users of cocaine, heroin and ecstasy combined. Because these drugs are acquired over the counter and not on the street, the assumption many are making is that it’s okay to use them for nonmedical reasons. In fact, more than 50 million Americans admit to doing so. But the availability of these drugs doesn’t mean they aren’t addictive or deadly- in fact, they are both.
This a health problem of epidemic proportions, and it’s getting worse every year. How can this problem be stopped?
