Chemistry Position “Methods Run”?

Question by sstrunks52005: Chemistry Position “methods run”?
Hi, I am applying for a chemical position, and on the application, they ask the methods run for a certain type of experiment.
For example, they ask if I have experience with gas chromatography, types of instruments used, methods run, and years of experience. Has anyone else that has applied for a chemistry position come upon this question? Could you give an example of what you would say? It also ask to answer briefly.

thanks

This is a poorly asked question. It might be interpreted as “how was the GC used” or “what analytes were done” or even a brief description of the columns and carrier gases employed.

What they are interested in is a brief description of the experiments or analysis.

Straight GC? or two dimensional GC? GC-MassSpec? What kind of detector used (FID, Pulsed discharge, Thermal conductivity, etc).
