How Do You Think Eminem’s Legacy Will Be Judged?

Question by Hugh J: How do you think Eminem’s legacy will be judged?
I would personally rank Eminem as a Top 10 Rapper of all time. At the bottom or near the bottom of that list, but still. Even his “haters” have to admit his multisyllabic rhyming, flow, and enunciation are razor sharp. He’s on a decline and is a bit of a “one trick pony” with his subjects, but I still show love. Overall: one of the most over and underrated rapper of all time. Thoughts?

I agree, people will dislike any artist for whatever reason, but in my opinion, he is one of the best.

What Kind of Physician Should I See About a Vicodin Addiction?

Question by Shell Laylee: What kind of physician should I see about a Vicodin addiction?
I’m a 22 year old female trying to kick a 2 year long vicodin addiction. I’m not sure what kind of physician to see or where to go. There are outpatient clinics that specialize in addiction and I also have a psychiatrist but both of whom are unable to see me for another month. Is there any way that a family practitioner or a pain specialist could help me out? If so, how do u think they would go about treatment? Any advice is appreciated,
much love

Drug Abuse and Alcohol Addiction Treatment

Different drugs have different effects such as cocaine, may produce an intense “rush” and initial feelings of huge energy. Others, such as heroin, benzodiazepines or the prescription oxycontin, may produce excessive feelings of relaxation and calm. What most drugs have in common, though, is over stimulation of the pleasure center of the brain. With time, the brain’s chemistry is actually altered to the point where not having the drug becomes extremely uncomfortable and even painful. This compelling urge to use, addiction, becomes more and more powerful, disrupting work, relationships, and health. Prescription drug abuse is just as dangerous as street drug use.

What makes one person abuse drugs to the point of losing their home, their family and their job, while another does not? There is no one simple reason. Drug abuse and is due to many factors. A powerful force in addiction is the inability to self- soothes or gets relief from untreated mental or physical pain.

Question by Divine Atheist: If alcoholism/addiction is a disease…….?
I am a drug addict, so when I go to the doctor and it says on the paperwork “Any Diseases” do I just put in that space “Addiction”?

Answer by jenijaz
No, you would state, “Alcoholism” or “[Name of drug here] dependency” to define for the person reviewing your chart that you are aware of it…that way the MD can ask direct questions.

If you put “Addiction” you will get the 20 question game as a result of it.
