Question by : whats good thesis statement for a research paper on drug addiction?
my teacher is trying to get us to write better essays because a lot of people failed an essay assignment for his class and he said that we can pick a topic on whats going on in the world i took drug addiction thesis statement and it needs to pass the “so what” test.

You can’t write the thesis statement yet. Not by a long shot. First you need a question (like “Are 12-step programs effective in treating addiction?”). Then you do research to find out the answer to that question. Then when you have enough evidence to let you answer the question, you answer it. That answer is your thesis.
