Was Edgar Allan Poe Really Cruel to Animals?
Question by Darcie: Was Edgar Allan Poe really cruel to animals?
I have heard that there some simimilarities between the author and the narrator of “The Black Cat”, such as the “alcohol” thing, but is there actually may evidence to suggest that he abused or killed cats or any other animal species? He certainly has a reputation for being dark and attracted to this like that, but did he actually commit any serious crimes like that?
