so i have a drug addiction and i want help. i feel like i could do it on my own without rehab but i need someone to talk me through it. if i told my school guidance councelor, is she required to tell my parents or the school?

It depends on what you’re addicted to and why you feel like you need it. Every drug is very different but the worst drug for the human body to discontinue from would definitely be the opioid/opiate family. If you’re doing heroin/pain pills or that nature you probably aren’t going to quit until some sort of tragedy happens that causes an awakening so to speak. Personally I think drug councilors are a waste of time because what you need is someone that has been through the same type of addiction and same type of experiences you have had.
